PARIS City of Light |
|
|
Paris has the reputation of being the most beautiful and romantic of all cities and vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food, and design. Well, that reputation is well deserved. Paris also has the reputation of being full of rude and obnoxious Parisians. Thankfully, this proved to be completely false. I can't wait to go back!

I love how the shrubbery provides private areas within the public park. Brilliant!

The largest and most visited museum in the world! Contains over 35,000 works of art including The Venus de Milo, Nike of Samothrace, and The Mona Lisa. I spent an entire day in the Louvre and still felt like I only scratched the surface. |

A monument to those who fought for France and the linchpin of the historic axis. Beautiful!

The most famous avenue in the world! As I walked, I couldn't help but think of the Tour De France and how challenging it must be to ride on those cobblestones.
Enjoyed an amazing traditional French dinner and wine while sitting outside and watching the sunset!

Considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture in the world! As impressive as Notre Dame is now, imagine how awe inspiring it was in 1163. The number of statues and sculptures and the incredible detail in each is amazing!

Paris is amazing. Everywhere you go there is something exquisite - architecture, gardens, paintings, sculpture, vistas, etc... Most places are beautiful because of the local scenery (think Hawaii). Paris is beautiful because they engineered it that way! |
